Flight Path Rugby Union Canberra is a not-for-profit organisation creating a dedicated development pathway for girls from U13 through U17 and into senior women’s rugby.
Our purpose is bigger than simply putting teams on the field. We are building an environment where girls can develop confidence, learn new skills, form strong friendships, challenge themselves and see a future in the game.
For sponsors, that creates an opportunity to support something with genuine local impact.
Rugby gives young girls more than sporting ability. It teaches teamwork, resilience, leadership, discipline, communication and confidence. It gives girls a place to belong, a community to be part of and opportunities to test themselves in an environment built around trust and support. For many players, rugby also becomes an important part of their identity. It creates friendships, mentors and experiences that stay with them well beyond their junior years. A strong girls’ rugby pathway helps ensure those opportunities do not disappear simply because a player reaches a certain age or outgrows the structure around her.
Girls’ rugby continues to grow, but the journey through the teenage years can still be fragmented. Flight Path connects the stages from U13 through U15 and U17, then supports players as they prepare for senior women’s rugby. We focus on long-term development, quality coaching, player welfare, mentoring, leadership and access to broader opportunities including representative pathways, Rugby 7s and interstate competitions. The objective is simple: help more girls enter the game, stay in the game and progress as far as their ability and ambition can take them.
Community sport is one of the places where young people build confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging. By supporting Flight Path, sponsors are investing directly in girls and families across Canberra and the surrounding region. That support helps create stronger clubs, more coaches, more volunteers, more female participation and a healthier pathway into senior women’s rugby. It also creates positive connections between local businesses and the families, schools, clubs and communities that surround the programme.
Cost should not determine how far a talented and committed player can progress. Through the support of our sponsors, Flight Path aims to assist eligible players who earn representative, development or interstate opportunities but may otherwise struggle with the financial burden of taking part. Sponsor funding can help with costs such as travel, accommodation, competition fees, equipment and programme participation.
This is one of the most important ways our partners can make a direct difference.
We want sponsorship relationships to be genuine partnerships.
Flight Path offers opportunities for businesses to align with the growth of girls’ and women’s rugby, support meaningful community outcomes and connect with players, families and the broader Canberra rugby community. Depending on the partnership, opportunities may include programme naming rights, digital exposure, event presence, apparel branding, social media content, community activations and recognition across FlightPath activities.
Most importantly, sponsors can clearly see what their support is helping to achieve.

The future of women’s rugby starts long before a player reaches the senior game.
It starts when a young girl feels welcome at her first session. It grows when she develops confidence, receives quality coaching and discovers what she is capable of. It continues when she can see a clear next step and knows there are people willing to help her take it. By partnering with FlightPath, your organisation can help create those opportunities.
Supporting FlightPath does not need to mean a major corporate commitment. We offer partnership opportunities at different investment levels so local businesses, community organisations and larger brands can all play a meaningful role. From supporting a specific programme or event through to major pathway partnerships, we can tailor opportunities to suit your goals, budget and level of involvement. Every contribution helps create better opportunities for girls in rugby.
Our partners should be visible, valued and connected to the impact they help create. Depending on the partnership, recognition may include website presence, social media, programme branding, event signage, apparel, community activations and acknowledgement throughout the season. We also want to build relationships that extend beyond a single campaign, giving sponsors the opportunity to grow with FlightPath and be recognised as long-term supporters of girls’ rugby in Canberra.
